Art!

Setting up an art area for Jude was ambitious on our part. Jude had no interest in art, but we felt it was important for a lot of reasons. So we created an area where Jude could access all his own materials and voila! An artist was born. Jude creates with us and on his own initiative several times a week.

Jude's first still life. This was amazing to watch because I refused to give Jude any guidance except telling him to observe what was in front of him. We talked about the shape of the pumpkin, the color, the texture, and despite his initial reluctance, he did a fantastic job!
