Do not reward negative behavior.
This means that if your child is sitting at the dinner table, trying to make you laugh by spitting water out of his mouth (i.e. "negative behavior"), you do NOT reinforce it by laughing (i.e. "reward").
Lets see who's laughing in a few months.
